The importance of money

The importance of money

March 14, 2022 0 By Albert C.

“Money makes the world go round”. It’s just a phrase, but it’s true. Money is generally seen as being one of the most important things in people’s lives, and it can have a significant effect on them. Money is always changing, which means that there are always new ways to save money or earn more money.

This blog post will take an analytical look at how money affects different aspects of our lives.

Education

It is widely accepted by researchers that the more educated a person is, the bigger the chance they have of gaining employment and earning more money. This is because, in today’s society, there are two main forms of income: salaried and commission-based. Salaried means that you earn a set amount of money regardless of how successful you are in your job. Commission-based income relies on your achievement. The more successful you are in your field, the more money you make.

Universities are an investment in your future. If a person chooses to go to university and study a subject that they enjoy, then this will make it easier for them to gain employment once they graduate. If a person decides that studying is not for them, or if they choose to go to university but study a subject that does not interest them then this could lead to problems in gaining employment.

Therefore, in today’s society, education is essential to a person’s success. An educated person will be more likely to get employment, and they will also earn more money than an uneducated person.

The point that I am trying to make is that if a person chooses to study at university then this could lead them onto a successful career path. If a person chooses not to study at university, then this may lead to problems in their lives.

Note: Some people choose not to attend school. Instead they choose entrepreneurship and self-education. According to them, the educational system only prepares students to become employees and not leaders. Those who succeed are those who have a passion and stick to it.

Politics

Politicians are a very different group of people to the general public. They are very wealthy, and they work for the good of society. Politicians have more than one role. Not only do they have to make sure that their country’s financial state is in order and that it is safe from any outside threats, but they also have to ensure that their country’s constitution and law is followed by everyone who lives there.
Money can also influence politics in other ways. Most politicians are involved in political campaigns, which are extremely expensive. They are needed to transport campaign workers, buy advertisements and pay for events.

Money in a politician’s life is obvious, but just like any person it can be used for the bad of others or the good of others.

Religion

Money can have an effect on religions and religious people too. It is widely accepted that churches rely on donations from their congregation to function properly. The more people contribute to a church, the more funds the church receives. This means that, if a church receives more money and has more funds, then they can help more people.

The amount of money that is donated can have a significant effect on the way religions operate. For example, if a church receives a lot of donations then they may be able to build much better schools and hospitals for their community. They can also afford to provide more food, shelter and clothing for the people who live in the area, as well as teachers, doctors etc. This could lead to an increase in population in the area.

Charities also benefit from money – they can rely on it to build houses, hospitals etc.

Examples of charities:

• Red Cross – The Red Cross helps various people in need all around the world. They provide food, shelter, clothes and other essentials for those who are in need. The money received from donations enables them to do this.

• UNICEF – This charity provides essential clothing, food and shelter for children who are in a war-torn area. It also provides medical treatment if the child is injured or ill.

• United Way – This charity helps communities in the US by giving them money, and offers other services such as housing advice and legal aid.

• Habitat for Humanity – This charity builds houses for those who are in need, giving them a clean, decent place to live in. Some are free to use by their owner, some are rented out and some are sold on. The money received from donations enables Habitat for Humanity to do this.

Politics and religion both rely on money to function properly, meaning that they can reach more people and provide more services.

Home Life/Leisure Time

Money can have an effect on a person’s leisure time as well as their home life. If a person has a lot of money then they may be able to travel or go on holiday, which could help them to relax and forget about any problems or stresses in their life.

A person may also have enough money to help them enjoy their leisure time. If a person has a lot of money then they can afford to buy many different things that would amuse or entertain them. They could buy games, toys, DVDs or books, which can all help to distract from any problems that they might be experiencing in their life or with their home.

Local Government & Local Government Staff

Local government relies on money for many things to function properly. They require money to provide services that are important for the community.

Local government staff is made up of those who work in a local government organisation. In order to work in a local government organisation, a person needs to go through several stages of employment. This would include:

• Working as an assistant or lifeguard at their leisure centre.

• Doing voluntary work (Working for free).
Local Government Staff also provides services such as: • Pollution control. • Providing public health facilities. • Managing the environment. • Protecting wildlife.

Local government depends on the local council’s budget to run operations. This means that if a local council has a poor budget, then they will have to cut back and try to find other ways of making money – they may have to close down a few services that are not essential, or they may even have to reduce the amount of money that they give to their employees.

Local government staff work hard, but they do not always get paid enough to be able to live a comfortable life. This brings us onto the next section of this essay.

Working Life

The monthly salary is an important part of working life. It can dictate how a person lives their day-to-day life and how they look at their job. There are many different jobs and working environments, each with its own benefits, but there are also some disadvantages.

Having a high salary can be an advantage. It enables the person to buy many things that they might not be able to afford otherwise. Buying more items could help them to forget about their problems or stresses, and could make them feel happier.

On the other hand, high salaries can also cause problems and have unwanted consequences. High salaries do not always guarantee a good job. In some situations, the employee might be forced to do a job that he/she is not interested in, or one that they are not qualified for.

If a person is employed in a workplace that they are not interested in, then they could become bored and annoyed by their work and this could cause them to leave. They might also commit mistakes during their job which could lead to damage to their reputation, which could stop people from wanting to hire them again. If they lose the job they were not interested in, then they might not have any income.

Another disadvantage is that a high salary can lead to bad behaviour. Money causes many problems in the working environment. Competition and greed can come into play if a person feels that they need to earn more income and keep up with the things that other people have bought. A lack of money could lead to theft or fraud from their employer, which is never a good thing! If an employee has their salary decreased but still needs to maintain a certain standard of living, then they might be tempted to take more money for themselves.

If a person earns a lot of money then they could be tempted to buy more expensive things such as mobile phones and clothes. They might feel that they need the latest and best items.

A disadvantage of having a low salary is that it might mean that you cannot afford things because you are paying off debt. You might not have enough money to pay for all of your needs, so a particular thing might have to be sacrificed. You could not have enough money left over to buy the things you really want or need.

There are many different organisations that pay people at different rates of pay, but most have a salary cap which means that they cannot allow an employee to earn more than the amount that is set by the organisation.

Benefits & Allowances

Benefits are different to money. Money is more tangible and can be used for many different things. Benefits are less tangible and can sometimes limit a person’s finances. Though there is no income tax paid on benefits, it will be deducted as Income Tax from the pay that the employee receives. Benefits include:

• Pension – This allows people to have an income which they can live on in their retirement.

• Sickness benefits and maternity pay – This allows an employee to have an income when they are ill or if they have a baby.

• Holidays – This gives an employee time off work for a period of two weeks every year.

There are also some allowances that employers give to their employees. These can include:

• Travel expenses – This allows the employer to pay for a trip that he/she may need to do for business purposes.

• Cost of living – This allows the employer to pay his/her employees extra money to ensure that they are able to live a comfortable life.

Conclusion

In conclusion, while money solves big problems, money also causes many problems in our society. It is an important part of a person’s life and it can dictate how that person lives their life. There are many different ways in which people can earn money and there are also many different ways in which they can spend their money.

Money causes problems for the local government staff because it limits them and can stop them from being able to buy the things that they really need. If a person does not have enough money, then this could cause them to be unhappy and stressed. Some organisations have cap on how much their employees can earn so that no one becomes greedy or takes advantage of their position in the company.
